Main Access - Siesta Beach: 948 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: Yes, 950 FREE spaces

Consistently ranked as one of the top beaches in the US, it’s no wonder why people from all over the country come to see it for themselves. The alluring blue waters of the Gulf and the soft white sand make Siesta Beach a dreamy vacation destination for families, friends, couples, and even solo travelers! 

There are two parking lots at this main access, so parking spaces are plentiful (900+ FREE spots!). We still recommend getting here early if you plan to drive during peak season, or take advantage of the free Siesta Key trolley that takes visitors and locals up and down Siesta Key if you aren’t planning on bringing much.  

The main Siesta Beach access features several convenient amenities including restrooms, picnic shelters and pavilions, concession stands, beach wheelchairs, and a restaurant nearby. Beachside Vacation Rentals Near Main Siesta Beach Access

Public Beach Access 1: 3940 N. Shell Road

Parking Spaces: Limited parking available

Located on the quieter end of Siesta Key and the northernmost point of the island, this beach access overlooks Big Sarasota Pass. This is the perfect spot if you’re seeking solitude and want to be away from the crowds. The access is located in a residential area, so please be respectful if parking here. Limited spaces available. No restrooms at this beach access.


Public Beach Access 2: 10 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: 1 ADA Space, On-street parking with permits only

Known to locals as Sunset Beach for its stunning sunset views, Access 2 is popular for fishing, sunbathing, swimming, and relaxing.  As you stroll along the water, you’ll be led to what’s left of the old pier. It’s a great spot for fishing when the tide comes in. The access is also within walking distance of Siesta Village, making it convenient if you need to grab any last-minute beach day items. Several of our Siesta Key vacation rentals are located within walking distance to Access 2, so parking is not a problem if you book one of those properties.

Public Beach Access 3: 100 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: No parking, pedestrian access only

Beach Access 3 offers another quiet alternative to the main beach accesses on Siesta Key. Pack your beach chairs and towels and sprawl out on the soft white-sand beach, or go for a dip to cool off from the Floridian sun. The access is just west of Siesta Village, and within walking distance to the popular Siesta Key shopping center.

Public Beach Access 4:  180 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: Yes

Beach Access 4 offers another quiet alternative to the main beach accesses on Siesta Key. Pack your beach chairs and towels and sprawl out on the soft white-sand beach, or go for a dip to cool off from the Floridian sun. The access is just west of Siesta Village, and within walking distance to the popular Siesta Key shopping center.  There are about 4-5 parking spaces available at Access 4.

Public Beach Access 5:  200 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: Yes

Access 5 has around 20 to 30 parking spaces, so you’ll have better luck finding parking here than at some of the other accesses. The access is located south of the Siesta Key Village strip, similar to Access 4; tidal pools also form here.

Public Beach Access 7:  402 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: Yes

Access 7 puts you a little closer to the main Siesta Beach access and offers 40 parking spots. To access the beach, you’ll walk through a long path of protected plant life before settling in and enjoying the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf.

Public Beach Access 8:  471 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: Yes

Similar to Access 7, Access 8 will take you along a protected plant path to get to the beach. This is a great access for families or groups who want to be near the main Siesta Beach strip. You’ll find plenty of parking spots here, but if you plan to come during peak season, arrive early to secure one.

Public Beach Access 9:  507 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: Yes

Access 9 is located right down the road from Access 8 and offers fewer parking spaces. Make this your home base for your beach day if you want to be near all of the Siesta Beach amenities and action.

Public Beach Access 10:   564 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: No, pedestrian access only

Access 10 is strictly limited to pedestrians, so you will not find any parking spaces here. However, several of our Siesta Key vacation rentals are within walking distance of this access and Siesta Beach, making it perfect for families who prefer a walkable vacation destination.

Public Beach Access 11:  690 Beach Road

Parking Spaces: No, pedestrian access only

Access 11 is strictly limited to pedestrians, so you will not find any parking spaces here. However, several of our Siesta Key vacation rentals are within walking distance of this access and Siesta Beach, making it perfect for families who prefer a walkable vacation destination.

Public Beach Access 12:  6490 Midnight Pass Road - Crescent beach

Parking Spaces: Yes

Access 12 leads you to another Siesta Key favorite, Crescent Beach, which offers a quieter alternative to Siesta Beach. There are about 20 parking spots, but the road is pretty narrow, and the spots fill up fast. This access is a popular choice due to its proximity to the bridge and dining. Consider taking the Siesta Key Trolley and skipping the hassle of finding parking!

Public Beach Access 13: 1000 Point of Rocks Road - Crescent Beach (Point of Rocks)

Parking Spaces: No

On the secluded end of Siesta Key, Access 13, also known as Point of Rocks, is a popular area for snorkeling and fishing. Ideal snorkeling conditions are in the early morning, when the water hasn’t been disturbed by visitors and is calmer. From here,  you’ll spot fish, starfish, and if you’re lucky, dolphins and manatees in the distance!

Turtle Beach: 8918 Midnight Pass Road

Parking Spaces: Yes

Turtle Beach is known for its laid-back vibes. You’ll get the same perks as Siesta Beach and Crescent Beach, just without the crowds. Popular activities at Turtle Beach include snorkeling, beachcombing, fishing, and swimming. This beach does have a steeper drop-off going from ankle-high water to waist-deep water.

While there are no concession stands here, there are two restaurants nearby, and the Turtle Beach Campground gives you access to restrooms, grills, picnic shelters, and a canoe/kayak launch.
