New Paths to Sarasota

Early this month, Sarasota-Bradenton, unveiled the completion of their newest addition - Concourse A. After 16 months, the airport welcomes the expansion, featuring 5 new gates, 3 new food options, and plenty of seating space to accommodate the rapidly growing foot traffic.

Since 2020, SRQ has grown from just 6 airlines servicing 12 direct flight destinations to over 60 destinations from 11 airlines, cementing their place as a great option for travel to Florida's gulf. However, Concourse A is only the first of many planned updates to the airport. With more plans to improve parking, ground transportation, expanded dining and retail options, and introduce new baggage handling systems, and terminal wings, Sarasota-Bradenton has set a future goal of serving over 7 million airline travelers yearly.

Before Sarasota-Bradenton began it's rapid expansion, the most accessible airport for traveling to Sarasota's Siesta Key was by flying into Tampa or - in some cases - Fort Myers. With Sarasota's local airport growing at such a rapid pace, locals and vacationers are able to skip hours worth of traffic before getting to their end destination. The easier island access now makes it increasingly possible for millions to visit our slice of paradise, promising further growth for all industries in the area who rely heavily on the wonderful visitors each and every year.
